WHO WE ARE

Welcome to Cinefoodie, or as we like to think of ourselves, food movies central.  My name is Gigi, and I founded Cinefoodie with my husband, Daniel. We are based in Los Angeles, where we’re both in the film industry, and we wanted to create a food-movie information hub where we could share our love for all things film and food related.  Our goal is simple: to be the most complete, engaging and entertaining source of news and articles about food movies (and the surprising number of movies with food), to provide recommendations on where to find our favorite movie foods and recipes on how to make them, and to engage with the ever growing community of film and food lovers, AKA cinefoodies, who share our passion for the delectable combination of our two favorite art forms. As film and food enthusiasts who thrive on spirited conversation, we know that few topics inspire more zeal, so we encourage you to join in, debate, and provide your own examples of unforgettable food in film moments.

At Cinefoodie, we tirelessly scour the web for the most comprehensive food film stories, recipes and news, review restaurants that feature food we want to eat off the screen,  and recommend foods we love from the movies.  It’s our mission to provide you with the resources to find or make the foods you see in your favorite films, and to keep you updated on the latest developments in the world of culinary cinema.  We also want to hear from you, so if you have an exciting bit of food movie news, or a scoop on an upcoming film, please let us know and we’ll be delighted to spread the word to the Cinefoodie community.
